Other Information: White cap may tint yellow or brown in age, esp. by edge, & may get fine cracks. White pores age toward olive-yellow & DNS. Likes oak and sandy soil.

Edibility: Good.

CHEMICAL TESTS:

  • KOH: Cap surface turns pale pink.
  • FeSO4 (Iron Salts): No data.
