Tells: Bright red streaks/fibers at the top of the scaly stem. Red cap can age dark or pale, & gets deeply cracked/fissured. Yellow/cream cap flesh DNS. Yellow pores DNS.

Other Information: Generally white flesh can be very yellow in the cap and upper stem, while fading to cream in the mid- to lower stem. A common find in Cuba and Puerto Rico, this pretty little thing has also been found in the Florida Everglades.
