Common Name:
Tells: Yellow cap usually has a yellow powder on top. Yellow baby pores quickly age red-brown. Yellow-with-red stem ridged by the pores.
Other Information: Yellow cap flesh usually blues, often slowly. A smaller mushroom with a cap no bigger than 3” across.
Science Notes: DNA testing moved this mushroom into the newly erected genus “Buchwaldoboletus.”
