Tells: Pale yellow stem (drying bright yellow!), rarely gray-white, w/brown-black scabers & often blue-green tints by base. Shallow pores. Likes spruce.

Other Information: Gray, brown or dark cap, sometimes w/greenish tints. Whitish to yellow pores age darker & bruise yellow. White cap flesh very slowly stains pale salmon-pink (or quickly stains bright blue green when wet). Rare.

Edibility: Unknown, but there’s nothing about it to trigger alarms.
