Common Name:
Tells: Olive-buff stem w/vertical lines & red areas. Yellow mycelium. Dark olive- to gray-brown cap cracks & fissures w/age. Blue-bruising yellow pores may have red tints.
Other Information: Whitish to yellow cap flesh may blue slowly & erratically. Likes oak & alder. Found on the West Coast and occasionally in the Southwest.
Edibility: Good.
